This vintage Goebel Hummel is entitled “The Builder.” It is 5.5 inches tall and shows a child eager to start his project. This Hummel was retired in 1959. The Hummel is made from porcelain and hand painted. Hummel figurines are based on drawings by Maria Innocentia Hummel who was inspired by children playing in her neighborhood in Germany. They always portray sweet children with a pure and innocent appearance. There are no breaks, cracks or scratches. A great addition to a Hummel collection.
